almost CURATORS will take part in the event Female on Fashion, organized by Female Cut in collaboration with Altaroma, on January 12th 2013 at 7 pm. almost CURATORS will present, in the exhibition spaces of the Lanificio, paintings by artist Elena Boccoli, portraits of women with “wide eyes and great lives”.

Elena Boccoli is an Italian artist based in Rome. Women with big eyes and big lives are her artistic addiction. Her eclectic art works are done on wood, canvas and digital printing. Her most recent paintings highlight a shift to a more mature season, in which she confirms her ironic touch, at the same time opening to new experiments that lead to a further borderline mixing of art and illustration. It is no coincidence, then, that muses of this new cycle are women able to assert themselves on the stage of life with the consistency of a true principle of personality. Today she is being exposing her art all over Italian galleries, such as Museo Canonica and Palazzo dei Congressi. She also collaborates with magazines as an illustrator and she has recently been rewarded with prizes such as “Gemine muse” and “Giovane eccellenza romana”.
